Five Seasons-Original poem by Lolita Lynn

Five Seasons

It’s been Five years since I lost you mom

It doesn’t feel that long at all

It’s been Five winters and springs

Five summers and falls

It doesn’t feel that long at all

It wasn’t that long ago that I heard you voice

Laughed with you and felt your face

Letting you go was never my choice

And if I could, I would, I would take your place

It’s said the grave is dark and cold

But this world without you is colder still

If I could change the past I will, I will

It doesn’t fell that long at all

Five winters and springs

Five summers and falls

It doesn’t fell that long at all

Five Seasons

"Self Image" Original poem by Lolita Lynn

Self Image

She’s cold and distance, shows no emotion

She hears loud and clear through all the commotion.

She may not understand but she listens well

Will her wounds ever heal? Only time will tell.

She absorbs everything happening around her

She reveals nothing of what hurts or astounds her.

She is very quiet but has plenty to say.

When you look into her eyes she doesn’t look away.

She doesn’t enjoy pain and avoids it when she can

But when pain comes from him it’s like quick sand

Fast and furious with no remorse

The only thing she thinks to do is cut off the source.

"I Miss you Mom" Original poem by Lolita Lynn

I Miss You Mom

The words have all been said.

The tears have all been shed.

But the pain of losing you still remains.

I take it with me from day to day.

Beneath my smile I still cry tears.

I will forever miss you for years and years.

But my broken heart will someday mend.

When it’s my time, I’ll see you again.

All That Glitters-Original Poem by Lolita Lynn

All That Glitters

Diamonds are a girls best friendgb

So poverty must be the enemy.

Why all the emphasis on money?

They say with dollars Ill be happy.

Looked after, cared for, content

But as quickly as the cash comes in

Its just as quickly, if not faster, spent.

There is so much more to life

            Than how much we make

So much more than fancy cars

            Diamond rings; money we take

Diamonds? A girls best friend?

Its up to me to shatter that mold.

All that glitters is not gold.

Tear Drop- Original Poem by Lolita Lynn

Tear Drop

Tears

Shed in pain,

Hardship or sorrow

Lost loves…………. no loves,

Fear of tomorrow, fear of    today.

No one understands why we           cry.

Why we laugh, why we live, why we die.

Life is just countless tears shed.

But we wipe them away and

Stand another day.tears.

My Day- Original peom by Lolita Lynn

My Day

Tears come to my eyes as

I think of the day going by

With nothing to say about its azure sky

I treasure nature and all her glory

I want to savor her timeless story.

The Working Class-Original poem by Lolita Lynn

The working class

They say you need an education

So you can get a good occupation

Anything from working in a waste station

To being president of this great nation

But I have no anticipation

Wondering if I’m just wasting

My precious time with no invitation

To any career so procrastination

Is what I do even with education?

I really don’t want an occupation.

Die Inside- Original poem by Lolita Lynn

Die Inside

I find myself becoming dead inside.

I cared for you with all my heart,

But I feel the Pain a lot less inside.

I fear resentment will soon start.

What do I do with this anger inside?

Can I hide it? Bury it down deep?

All I hear is a storm inside,

A fury that steals my sleep.

How to mend what’s destroyed inside?

I cannot say exactly how.

My love for you may Die Inside

If a change does not happen now.

I don’t want to feel cold inside,

I miss the warmth of your love.

But now a days I’m empty inside

Even when it’s you I’m thinking of.

Perhaps I’ll push to try inside,

To save my breaking heart.

For if I were to Die Inside

We will surely drift apart.

I Will Not Die- Original poem by Lolita Lynn

I will Not Die

I will not die, I will not die.

My iron will will keep me alive.

I loath to see the day I give up.

The day I give up is the day I Die.
